About Us
Myself Deep and my wife Mohua have travelled all over the world and it is our passion to travel. I myself am a bit mad about travelling and have gone far and wide to places like Antarctica and the North Pole. All through my life I had been looking for adventure and have explored Rock Climbing in Purulia, Mountaineering in the Himalayas also and had participated in trekking expeditions also. I was a regular swimmer in Indian Life Saving Society of Kolkata and also participated in various cultural events including the iconic Water Ballets organized by ILSS.
Mohua is passionate about home interiors and she has a keen eye for the aesthetics of a home. She too is addicted to travelling to new places and have accompanied me on most ocassions.
We have visited Shantiniketan quite a number of times and stayed in various hotels and resorts around. But we always felt the dearth of hospitality and solitude in those places. That gave birth to Upasana Eco Resort. The whole concept was shared between both of us and the logo was designed by our younger daughter Raisa who is now settled abroad. The landscape and the interiors were mostly her concepts and the construction part was overseen by me. We started in 2016 and it became operational in November 2017.
Situated among the paddy fields, we have designed the place for people who are looking for a blissful holiday with nature around. Our restaurant “Panchforon” is also designed in such a way that we prepare complete home food cooked to each of our guests demand with the best ingredients and with mostly indigenous chemical free veggies. We wish to make all our guests happy and content leaving with beautiful memories.
